Battlezoo Ancestries: Year of Mysteries PDF & Foundry VTT

With Battlezoo Ancestries: Year of Mysteries, you can play as a mysterious creature from folklore and urban legend! Discover the hidden secrets and solve the puzzles of 13 unique mysterious ancestries!

Each of the Year of Mysteries's ancestries will explore connections with the Enigmas, malevolent and mysterious deific beings from beyond reality, so you'll get to explore each ancestry not only as a stand-alone ancestry but as part of a larger overarching narrative that continues month to month!

In addition to a new ancestry each month, throughout the year, you'll be able to solve puzzles as you explore each ancestry to unlock the final mystery behind the hidden truth!

This bundle includes the Battlezoo Ancestries: Year of Mysteries Foundry module and PDFs. All 13 ancestries are produced as a single Foundry VTT module, along with the individual ancestry PDFs. At the start of each month throughout 2026, you will receive a new ancestry added to the Foundry module as well as a new PDF, monthly puzzle, digital assets, and Pathbuilder JSON file (for Pathfinder) for each ancestry.

With Year of Mysteries, you'll get to play the following new ancestries:

• January: Will-o'-wisps are wispy beings of light and air.
• February: Mushies are friendly and curious mushroom people.
• March: Girtablilu are powerful guardians with the lower body of a scorpion.
• April: House Spirits are fey, fond of cozy spaces, but with a vengeful streak.
• May: Fables are the living embodiment of a fable from the stories of old.
• June: Serpentfolk are a subterranean race of snake people.
• July: Sauruses channel the power of dinosaurs.
• August: Sea Serpents are powerful denizens of the deep.
• September: Kushtaka are fearsome land-shapeshifting otters.
• October: Sasquatch are elusive cryptid primates.
• November: Imps are mischievous tricksters.
• December: Xulgaths are lizard people living in the remnants of a mysterious past lost to time.
• December: Enigmites are bizarre aberrations twisted by eldritch horrors.
  
  
• Each ancestry or race is designed to provide a unique playable monster for any D&D 5E or Pathfinder 2e game.
• Each month, you'll receive both a new ancestry as well as a puzzle to solve that's part of a larger mystery. Solve all of the puzzles throughout the year to unlock the final mystery and receive a unique prize!
